Polydesmida: Dalodesmidae: Dysmicodesmus

Adults of the H+19 dalodesmid Dysmicodesmus jeekeli are 8-9 mm long and resemble Tasmaniosoma species, and like the latter they can be found sheltering in eucalypt bark litter. The gonopods are unusual in being fused together at the base.

There are a number of undescribed Dysmicodesmus species in the northwest. D. jeekeli is by far the largest and the most brightly coloured. All Dysmicodesmus species are uncommon.
